Actress Dies After Glioma Battle

Kelley Mack, the talented actress who portrayed Hilltop Colony resident Addy during the ninth season of AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” has died at age 33 following a courageous battle with glioma of the central nervous system. The actress passed away Saturday in her hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Television and Commercial Career

Beyond her memorable role in the acclaimed zombie drama series during 2018-19, Mack built an impressive portfolio across television and advertising. She made notable appearances on Fox’s emergency drama “9-1-1” in 2019 and NBC’s medical series “Chicago Med” in 2022.

The versatile performer became a recognizable face in the commercial world, lending her talent to major brand campaigns including Dr Pepper’s popular Fansville series, Ross Stores, Budweiser, Eli Lilly, Dairy Queen, and Chick-fil-A. In a particularly personal project, she appeared alongside her mother in advertisements for Rakuten.

Voice Acting Achievements

Mack’s talents extended into voice acting, where she served as the voice match for Hailee Steinfeld’s Gwen Stacy character in the Oscar-winning animated film “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” (2018). She continued this voice work, bringing the Spider-Gwen character to life in a 2024 Hyundai Ioniq commercial.

The entertainment industry has lost a dedicated performer who brought authenticity and skill to every project she undertook, from major television productions to commercial campaigns.
